Application

SAP HCM module is impacted by regular legislation changes usually needed within a challenging implementation time lapse. Therefore a strong expertise on legal matters and SAP HR knowledge are needed to achieve this support in a cost saving efficiency. Seed-IT can help your organization with a partial or full support on this task.

Project & end-user

During each project a particular attention is paid on end users training and materials to reduce support costs arising from a new implementation.  A fully understanding of HCM processes and the manner it has been implemented within your SAP HCM system is critical for a successful adoption in your organization.

Six factors to consider

Plan for Training

Plan for training before the project launches: Incorporate end-user training into the project timeline to give your project a better chance at success right from the start.

End-users

Determine end-user needs: Not all end users need the same training. Teams only need training on what they do, so make sure to group people together based on their needs and don’t assume that everyone needs to know every aspect of a system.

Goals

Set goals: What is the point of training? Is it for end users more to more efficiently do their jobs? Are you replacing an old process? How long will training take?.

Engagement

Recruit super users: These are folks who can help with day-to-day end-user questions and encourage disenchanted employees that yes, in fact, this system can work!

Training Program

Createa training program: Customize the training to end-users’ needs. Don’t forget that people learn differently, so having some options (e.g., conferences, online training, journals, etc.) will ensure a wider array of people will be successfully trained..

Scalability

Make it scalable: Teams grow, employees come and go, and you’ll need to have a system to keep everyone up to speed..

Upgrade services

Seed-it usually proposes and certainly encourages your organization to adopt a release management process (ITIL) to apply upgrade versions of SAP HCM. To help this upgrade process Seed-it has developed tools such as a payroll checker and a transfer tool that allows your end users to compare easily payrolls results in a quality assurance system.

Seed-it works closely with SAP support on his customers and has consequently an up-to-date knowledge of new functionality within SAP HCM.

“The companies that keep an updated library of test cases that reflect the scope ofthe ERP-system has a good advantage in making an upgrade with limited disturbance to operations. By having standard test cases it is easy to follow-up and get a sign-off from each site that the necessary testing is performed. In one project, the global test cases revealed that the global processes were not followed. It was a good piece of information for the central team to understand for further process development after the upgrade project was closed.”

Process Integration & Change Enablement

The integration of a new IT solution makes only sense if the solution generates a real added value to the business. This goal is only achieved if the IT solution relies on robust business processes:

  • Well-defined processes: complete and exhaustive definition of the rolesof each actor including the role of the new IT solution
  • Optimised processes: Process that brings value to the business
  • Integrated processes: the process belongs to a bigger environnement and must coexist with existing processes

All our projects are run and managed to ensure that the delivery fits these objectives. We take into account the organisational and cultural aspects of a process implementation to guarantee a succesfull result. Our methodology includes the best practices from BPMN, ASAP roadmap, ISO standards and change management guidelines.
